Again with the election?! Since the big vote takes place in a couple days, there won't be many more of these themed strips, I promise.
Anyway, this is a pretty straightforward interpretation of what actually happened to me. I vote by mail so I don't have to take time out of my schedule to wait in line like a chump. I do miss out on the "I voted" sticker, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I managed to send my ballot in pretty early, so the subsequent influx of campaign mailers were utterly ineffectual.
I haven't seen a mailbox like Rob's in a long time. I grew up with one, complete with the pivoting metal flag. It was a handy touch for those times when you're eagerly awaiting something, such as mail-order cereal toys... earned by amassing proofs of purchases and seriously screwing up your body's expectations of sugar intake.
